Thomas Hardy's Dorset
Thomas Hardy was born just outside the county town of Dorchester and this is where you will stay during your holiday, in the historic hotel where he wrote much of The Mayor of Casterbridge whilst looking out over the high street below. From here you will visit his birthplace, set amongst peaceful woodland on the edge of 'Egdon' heath as well as the home he designed and built for himself on the edge of the county town. Your own private car and driver ensure that your day always goes at your pace.
