The Isle of Portland
Connected to the mainland by just a shingle causeway, Portland has a unique atmosphere quite unlike any other parts of Dorset. We will be walking most of the coast path around the island, all with magnificent sea views. The route is ten miles but is mostly easy going without any serious climbs. Highlights include the ghost tunnels at the High Angle Battery, Portland Bill lighthouse and Tout Quarry sculpture park which is full of surprises.
