Visit the lively and distinctly bohemian town of Bridport, once known for its rope-making heritage and now a hub of independent shops, artists and food producers. The town’s Saturday market spills through its Georgian streets and with the harbour at West Bay just down the road, Bridport makes the perfect Saturday destination.

Itinerary
Here on a Saturday? Then Bridport market is a must where crowds throng the bustling streets, crammed with stalls selling handmade pottery, antiques, clothing, art, exotic food and other interesting things too numerous to list. Shop for one-of-a-kind souvenirs, sit at a pavement café or pub to watch the world go by, stop to listen to live music in Bucky Doo Square and browse the many independent shops in the town. If you can't make a Saturday, then Briport has lots of events going on throughout the year. Visit in September and don your most exotic headgear with the hope of winning a prize at the annual Hat Festival or in August for Melplash Show (the local agricultural show), or maybe June for two weeks of foodie heaven at the annual food festival. Afterwards, visit West Bay made famous by the series Broadchurch, wander the harbour and eat some traditional fish and chips or ice cream overlooking the sea. Or climb iconic Colmer's Hill and walk Hell Lane, Dorset's most famous holloway. If you can't make a Saturday, then Briport has lots of events going on throughout the year. WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

This was easily the best organised walking holiday I have experienced over many years. Dorset is delightful and the coast walk is stunning with so many points of interest. I cannot recommend this experience enough... amazing walks, great food and accommodation, brilliant organisation. Well done indeed!
