Behind The Garden Gate

Take an English Garden tour with a difference! In early summer, a few villages open their garden gates for just a handful of days, offering a rare and wonderfully personal glimpse into English village life.
From small, modern courtyards to extensive, lovingly landscaped gardens created by enthusiastic plantsmen and women, this is a genuine peek behind the English garden gate - unpolished, authentic and full of character. The friendly owners are always happy to chat to their visitors and share their knowledge and some villages have over thirty gardens opening their gates for the day. You will also visit world-famous gardens RHS Wisley and Stourhead as well as some of Dorset's historic homes.
