Want to get away from the crowds and stretch your legs? Why not take a hike along Dorset's Jurassic Coast with an expert local guide? No groups, just peaceful coastal paths at your own pace. We have a range of walks available so you can choose the length and level of challenge to suit you. See the famous sights at Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove on foot or walk the fascinating Isle of Portland. Collection from the dockside at Portland Harbour, from Weymouth or Wareham station or from local hotels included. Please note that the Dorset Coast is hilly, with some very steep climbs and rough paths, so a reasonable level of fitness and sturdy shoes are required to take this trip.

Itinerary
Option 1 - Walk from Lulworth Cove to Osmington Mills via Durdle Door and Ringstead Bay. Expect some very stiff climbs over Dorset's famous chalk cliffs, rewarded with magnificent views. Stop at pretty Ringstead Bay for a stroll along the beach or an excellent coffee. Finish your day at The Smuggler's Inn for a well-deserved drink overlooking the sea. Option 2 - Portland round-island walk. Portland has a unique atmosphere quite unlike any other parts of Dorset and you can walk as much or as little of it as you like. The full route is ten miles but is mostly easy going without any serious climbs. Highlights include the ghost tunnels at the High Angle Battery, Portland Bill lighthouse and Tout Quarry sculpture park which is full of surprises. Option 3 - South Dorset Ridgeway. This walk takes in some inland paths along the ridgeway high above the Chesil Bank for far-reaching views inland and along the coast. The walk finishes with a stroll along the beach to the ancient village of Abbotsbury with its famous swannery and streets of thatched, honeyed stone cottages.
