ITINERARY

Day 1 - Arrive and get stuck into your first walk over the chalk downlands of mid-Dorset.  The start of the walk varies depending on how far you want to walk but will end in the historic village of Cerne Abbas where you can see the vast 'Rude Man of Cerne' a chalk figure cut into the hillside above the village, admire the medieval architecture, visit the magical Silver Well and visit the village shop for a restorative ice-cream.

Day 2 - Purbeck hills, heath and coast.  Starting in Corfe Castle with its ancient, ruined castle standing guard over the village, this walk will include some of the coast, hills and heathland and can be anything from five to twenty miles.

Day 3 - The iron-age hillforts of north Dorset and The Blackmore Vale, at a length to suit your departure time.  Climb two iconic hillforts before dropping down to follow the river Stour, meandering through Thomas Hardy's Vale of Little Dairies, still home to many dairy farms.  A wonderful varied day of hills, meadows and woodland with interesting things to see along the way.
